I'm thinking about hardcore upgrading my car's subs and will wind up with at least 100lbs in batteries 150lbs in subs probably 75-100lb box and about 100lbs in amps (so round up to 500lbs extra weight) all in my trunk and was wondering... is that enough that I would need to get special springs to handle the extra weight or would just replacing my stocks with new stocks be good enough? I plan on replacing my springs anyway either way cuz the one's I've got right now are on their last legs and my wheels scrape when I hit a bump

Get Cargo coils. That's pretty much the only thing you could do.
Any sneak peek details about this system? Sounds insane. |

lol talkin to Mechman about a 270A alternator but at the time I was only looking at 4kw so I might have to go for a second one I haven't actually confirmed that yet though... other than that I'm going for a pair of SoundQubed Q1-3500 (rated 4300w @ 1 ohm, linked 8600w @ 2 ohm) SoundQubed HDC412s (rated at 2k each but actually will happily take double that for comps and for short burps are capable of taking a pair of those amps per sub... these subs also have a 65lb magnet each)... as for the box I'm doing an aero ported box with the sides front bottom and back in MDF painted black and a buddy of mine is gna do a cool design on it and the top will be 1.5" plexiglass (that's where all the weight is coming from) and I'm putting strip lighting into the plexi and also painting the inside of the port white and doing lights inside the ports all lights will be in sync with the bass... the battery will be at least one XS Power D7500

I've seen them on RockAuto, Amazon and ebay, to name a few. The part is MOOG #CC859. Amazon has them for $66 a pair right now.

Just because he has the extreme bass equipment doesn't necessarily mean he will have it pumping all the time...although his username indicates that may be the case lol
