Variable assist actuator (VAPS) same on '93 GL and SHO?

I stripped the threads out of the high-pressure line port in the variable assist (VAPS) actuator valve body on my '93 GL. A local auto wrecker has one from a '95 SHO. Will the SHO actuator swap to a GL/LX? I checked with the parts counter at our local Ford dealer and they list different part numbers for the SHO and GL/LX, but that doesn't always mean they won't interchange.

EDIT: I'm a fool....the threads for the high-pressure fitting are below the VAPS actuator body, in the rack itself. Sounds like I have a date with a heli-coil kit
