I just went with the gold. I reused the OEM rotors because they are fine. All is well. Have a little more bite then OEM (Not bedded in yet either so I can't wait until they fully kick in.)
Now i have ceramics on all 4 wheels. I feel... stoppable (Sorry bad pun but had to) Oh BTW when i took out the OEM pads the backing plate feel off 3 of the 4. Also the inner pad is different from the out. Out pad had a cleave down the middle, the in pad was flat? Last edited by Mark Oreman; 11-30-2012 at 05:05 PM. |

Yes, only I owned the car.
Also the bite has really kicked in. The peddle is a whole lot stiffer. Also they have made my rotors darker? lol I'm sure it is fine but still Last edited by Mark Oreman; 12-01-2012 at 05:21 PM. |

I have used OEM brake pads and rotors until the brake pads were perhaps 2mm thick. A this point, it seems like the rotors were short too. I suggest to swipe a finger across the rotor surface. If you feel like it's uneven, then perhaps it's time to replace rotors as well. In my experience, it's been the case that on many cars the OEM rotor will not last through two sets of brake pads anyways.
