Does anyone know of a hole in the firewall where an 8 Guage wire can be routed through?

I have a 1996 Taurus GL with a column shifter. I did a search, but the pictures which were listed didn't explain much.

Thanks

There should be one on all gen 3s behind the drivers side strut tower.

If it's a Vulcan, there should be another one just under the passenger side wiper motor and down near the bottom, it comes out under the dash where the passenger's feet are. (This still exists on the Duratec but because of the size of the engine it's hard to get to.)

with the hood open looking in the engine bay, it's up next to the driver's side strut tower behind the cruise control module... from inside the car on your back with your feet where your shoulders should be in the seat and your head againest the brake pedel looking up into your dash it's up above the e-brake pedal, youll see a rubber plug type thing, it's about an inch in diameter, maybe a little smaller. this whole is there on all g3's, there's been multiple posts in the past and in the archives, perhaps you didnt find the right posts, i know the info is out there-i used it when i put driving lights on 3-4 months ago . there is supposedly another hole on the passenger side, but i havent needed it so i havent gone looking for it.

btw, i found it easier to locate the whole by going from the inside out, and i poked the plug out from the inside (ive never found it btw, never landed on the driveway, wierd, oh well), i couldnt see the plug from the outside in until i had popped it out, maybe beacuse i did it at night though. its definitely visible from the inside, use a flashlight, cant miss it.

Theres one down in the middle of the car too that is easier to access than the one behind the strut tower.

Look directly in the middle of the firewall(very bottom) on the rear of the engine....it's right next to the power steering assembly and the heat shield.
