Question Trouble with starting. No crank.

Hi! This is my first post and I am having trouble with my car. I bought this used 1993 Ford Taurus 3.8 liter v6. It has be having problems I think with the ignition switch. sometimes it wont turn over at all. you turn the key and hear the fuel pump and turn the key and NOTHING. No sounds at all, if you continue to turn the key several time it will finally start. But today it has decided that it just isn't going to do anything. First thing this morning it started fine and went to the store and it wouldn't do anything when I came out. It is sitting at the store right now. I am at a loss. It won't make a sound at all like it is trying to start. I am getting power to the switch it just isn't going on to the engine. It has a new battery and new cables. Please if you have any ideas, I could really use your help.

Jump the solenoid. Run a jumper direct from Batt+ to S (small) terminal on solenoid. Make solenoid connection 1st. That should get you home

Glad to here you got it home. Starter is more expensive than a wiring issue but a simpler fix
