Default Are ebay led's any good?

I was thinking about getting front led turn signals.. I found some on ebay for really cheap. Does anyone have any experience with these? I don't want them to burn out or something in a week

The LED style 3357A/3457A bulb? I have no personal experience with these, but I do hear that they are not as bright as the regular bulbs. What is the intended advantage you are seeking from these? If it is brightness, I say stick with what you have, or go with Silverstars. They make them in the turn signal bulbs..

Additionally, the LEDs will draw less current so if you just pop them in, there is a chance you will just get the quick flash as it will draw so little current, the car will think you have a blown bulb.

LED strips off eBay for other purposes are good, however.

If you do go LED, go to SuperBrightLEDs. I just put in a big order to replace all my bulbs (exterior and interior, but dash had already been done) with LEDs. I even ordered an electronic flasher to prevent the LEDs from flashing too fast. The bulbs I got are a direct replacement for the 3156 bulb and have 18 LEDs and are amber colored.

Bulbs: 3156 LED Bulb - Single Intensity 18 SMD LED Tower | LED Brake Light, Turn Light and Tail Light Bulbs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

Flasher: Flashers & Load Resistors | Car Bulb Installation Supplies | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

There is no reference chart for the flashers, so you'd have to pull yours and match it up with one on the website.

Keep in mind that while Gen 1-3 may use a 3156 bulb (reverse light), Gen 4s do not. Its incandescent counterpart is a single filament bulb and this will not work for anything on a Gen 4 correctly.

Exterior Lamps 2000-2007 Taurus:
9007 - Headlamp (Dual Beam Hi/Lo)
3157 - Rear Brake Lights/Running Lamps/Turn Signal (Multipurpose)
920 - Reverse Lamp
3357A/3457A - Front Turn Signal/ Park Lamps (Dual Purpose)
194 - License Plate
912 - Third Brake Light (2000-2001 Non-Spoiler, Only)

I have read on here before too that LEDs for instrument clusters, glove boxes, dome lights, license plate lights, and the like are great!

However, for applications such as brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, I have heard that it is best to stick with the incandescent due to brightness and the pattern light is dispersed.

they do offer 3157 bulbs, which are replacement for the dual filament bulb. I ordered white 3156 for my reverse / front parking lights, amber 3156 for front turn signals, and red 3157 for my rear tail / brake lights / turn signals (2 bulbs on each side perform all 3 duties), and various color-coded 194 bulbs for 3rd brake lights, tag, front and rear side parking lights and interior courtesy lights

I was already upgrading everything to led (except the brake lights) and this is next. I just thought it would add to the aesthetics and make it look more modern

It can go either way with eBay LEDs. On the Taurus, I replaced the the license plate lights for a pair of cool white LEDs. I put them on in May and they still work just fine.

However, I bought a pair of amber LEDs from eBay for another car and one of the bulbs went out after two months. The seller said it had a three month warranty, so I contacted him, but he said I had to send back the burnt out LED. It wasn't worth the hassle so I just bought replacement LEDs from Autozone.

Also, don't buy amber bulbs from Autolumination. They appear to be a dark red-orange rather than amber. I have heard good things about superbrightleds and vleds, and they are cheaper than Autolumination.

My common trouble is burning out or individual elements start strobing.
