Default New key fob

Hey guys, I just got a keyless entry fob programmed for my 1999 red ford taurus today. I have some small hint of advice if you need to program a new fob. 1. turn the key in the ignition 8 times in 10 seconds. 2. the lock will engage and disengage at the same time. That tells you that the car is in programming mode. 3. Press any button on the new fob and you have a programed fob.

Don't forget if you are already using one, and you need an additional one, you must do both of them at the same time.

AND - You can only program up to 8 at a time. (I have 8 programmed because I keep finding them at the pick and pull and they are yet to charge me for them.)

The LX, being a base model, didn't always come with factory remote entry. It is likely that your car simply isn't equipped with it. I believe it was only an option for fleet cars, but don't hold me to that...
