can't find pats module on 04 - Taurus Car Club of America : Ford Taurus Forum

I've done some research on pats and read that some vehicles only have the transceiver while others have the tranceiver AND a pats module. I've searched the web and this forum for the pats module location. Some say that it was next to the radio and some say it's behind the instrument cluster. I pulled both the cluster and the radio and still havn't found it.

Did 2004 taurus's come with a pats module? If so where is it? Thanks

Not sure on the 04+ I know it is not integrated into the SJB. Is it in the steering column? Sorry I don't have a manual.

There is only the PATS transceiver ring around the key. The rest is all handled inside the PCM, so I guess the answer is no there is not a separate module on 2000+ cars.
