Post Convert digital to rotary climate ctrl

Hi I have a 1999 Taurus SE with digital climate control/radio combination. I want to replace the radio with a head unit but the only dash kit is made for rotary climate control/radio. Is there any way I can convert digital to rotary or any other way I can install a head unit. Appreciate opinons and answers.

Thanks

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to install an aftermarket headunit without some custom fab work. Are you looking to get better sound or just more features from the radio? If you want to install amplifiers, there is a way to modify the RCU (audio unit in the trunk) to have RCA outputs. If you do this mod, you can then install amps and have a sound system that will sound as good as any head unit driven system.

There are many options for a better stereo, heck even the optional MACH system sounds pretty good if you don't want to deal with external amps and whatnot.
