Loose connection or bad switch or relay. All control pads or just the drivers control pad?? By pad I mean the window controls on each door. Any moisture when it happened like a car wash or big puddle, driving rain, etc??

One day it won't. Check you GEM module that is part of the main fuse panel inside the drivers side fire wall. The window relay and controls are from this panel. Ask the dealer for a copy of the wiring for your windows. It is a trial and error hunt with a meter and some luck. Connections should be checked with a meter for the voltage you need at each wire. I would suspect the main drivers side switch if the others are not working either. You could have a loose ground wire at the fuse box location. There are a lot of critical grounding locations in the car. Some in trunk, some in cab and some in engine bay. I would suspect a ground or a bare spot on a wire through the door as a possibility.

Check for a broken wire in the harness between the door and the body of the car. Wires are known for breaking from the flexing that occurs every time the door is opened and closed. Happened to me with lock out switch circuit.
