ok guys i have 2 sho's here with the digital football stereo. i know you can put an after market deck in if you have the dial type heater but i want to keep the digital. i have not removed either sterio yet so my question is can i remove one cut it in half and get the aftermarket face plate, cut that in half aswell and bond the 2 together so i can have a dvd AND my digital heater?

It's going to be harder than that. There is a circuit board that runs through the whole face. You have to cut and solder stuff.

It's been done, but like Michael said, it's not as simple as just cutting it in half and filling the holes left from the old stereo controls. There's a topic in the forum on how one person made it work.

Metra just came out with a digital climate control kit for 2000-2003 models which are a different shape, but use the same protocol as '96-'99 models.
