I have a couple questions.
My 03 taurus I just bought has the power moonroof in it. Does anyone know of any problems that the roofs have,
and what should you do for regular maintenance on them to keep them working good.

Also is there a manual crank to close them should they be stuck open

Thanks

I don't know of any manual crank

Problem wise, other than something going with the motor, not really. Mine's 8 years old and still working like a charm

On my '97 the plastic trim got caught in the mechanisms some how and jammed it all up. Now it won't work but I got it closed. Took the motor out to.

I think a once a year spray with some light lube on the moving parts should be done.

IIRC you can crank it closed (with an allen wrench? I don't remember) if you open the hatch in the headliner over the back seat.
