I can at least tell you I found one.
some time ago 10 years? when I was searching junkyards at the time
I happened to find a tan leather center console middle fold out seat assembly
which I un-bolted & grabbed for myself.
I'm thinking that junked car was a 1996
It had a shade darker color then the 1997 camel tan I had
it definitely wasn't gray (see pics)
The plastic trim was a shade darker too
which was annoying
as that made me tear that thing all the way down to it's steel frame -
to swap out it's darker plastic trim with mine that matched the rest of the car..
(which of course required a special tool , which I had to custom make from a modified hex head bolt) to get the special ford plastic one-way twist fasteners out
all the matching seats in that junkyard car were that darker tan leather color
but they were the standard build seats -
not like the SHO with the nicer seat backs.
I had bought a complete set (front & back) of SHO Seats off Ebay for ~350.00 delivered (very good deal) which came in by Fed-Ex freight on a skid.
I did get the power drivers seat / but did not get any console out of the deal.
My 97 car was column shift.
I've never seen a leather console like that listed online.
was looking for a gray one as recently as last April
Sorry if I'm getting your hopes up-
Even though I un-bolted that one from the 97GL before calling the Junkyard Wrecker & scrapping the car Last Spring due to un-repairable rust on the body shell underneath under the plastic "stone shields" running L & R under the full length of the doors
towards the shock towers - !!!
I did take out & save the front seats & the center console
But used the lower center console foam & leather
as part of my 2004 floor shift center console cup-holder re-build last spring
(extreme mod required)
http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/116...els-tires/308393-cupholder-mod-gen-4-5-a.html
involved a sharp kitchen carving knife to trim down some of the foam - mating to the plastic lid & in front to make room for where the cup-holders go.
I just had to have a better arm-rest than that 2004 stock plastic lid
with it's 1/4" foam pad
Yes I know the colors do not match
in fact I've never posted pics of it before for that reason
but yes - driving it now - it's so much better.
the feel is like driving with a piece of my old car. which of course is true.
So I'm not really using the upper leather arm-rest
(I don't mean the installed one - see last pic of it sitting on my rug)
but it does have more than a little wear on it.
