I'm starting to hate my drab gray cloth interior and would like to upgrade to leather for 800USD. But I'm not sure if that's enough so I would also like to upgrade the panels and switch plates and make them woodgrain using film, and maybe use matching leather inserts too on the doors. Then top it off with custom curtains and floor matting.

I'm having trouble with the curtains, only VIP cars have them (IE: Big Lexus, Infiniti, Benz) so, has anyone here successfully installed curtains on the Taurus? First of all, did you do custom or have you found a site or shop that actually does it? And B, is there a mid-divider available?

Just wait for my updates, I'm starting with the leathers first, then grain and custom carpeting. It takes time to order the leathers, and I still have to think of what colors to mix and match. So, expect to see it done by March. I'm pretty sure it will be worth it.

Oh, and BTW... Does anyone know where to find a drink rack?

Hey, I installed all black leather in my 2001 Taurus. I even did the carpet and door panels as well as the plastic pieces over the seat belts and door sills. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

This mention of curtains confuses me.

You could always find a junked black sable and that'll get you everything you want. depending on how crazy you want to get you could go with katskinz leather seats

I guess finding Sable seats seem to be the best way to go. But I don't have a floor mounted shifter. That would look rather funny if I swap it. I have a bench upfront. I actually like it though.

I helped him with the swap. He had that setup as well, but a floor shift console will also fit in place of the flip fold console. Unless you are lucky enough to find a black leather flip fold which I have found at my junkyard!! So they are out there.

I thought the center console is necessary for the swap. Nice bit of info there. I have to call some junk yards and see if they have Sables.

What year Sable seats would fit? I lost it when the junkyard guy asked me which year.
