not a fan of the stickers, imho stock is sometimes the best look, especially on an old car, you see a beat up 10 yr old car next to a clean shiny 20yr old car , i would want the latter of the two, race and drag cars can get stickered up, taurii are clean sharp cars as it, i feel we should keep them as such, or a clean mod, somethin that doesnt look unorganized but still personalized can look good, but man this car would look goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood with just that blue and i do like the hubcaps, they look vary nice and so does your interior, i give you kudos for that. just my opinion is all, from another 17 yr old.

I never posted this, but I took the magnets off back in June of 2012 and plasti-dipped the entire car. I never got any decent pictures, mainly because it didn't come out as nicely as I had hoped. Now the plasti-dip is faded and nasty, and I plan on removing it in late spring 2013. If the parents don't get rid of it, I'll try and talk them into respraying the car.
I no longer drive the Taurus as it is useless for anything more than local driving. Now that I am in college and need something that can last 4-5 hours travelling at 75 MPH on interstate highways, I drive something more 'reliable.' :p ![]() Another early nineties American favorite, a 1993 Chrysler Town & Country. Like the Taurus, we've owned this van since it had very low miles (12,000). I actually remember the day we bought it (I was 8 months old). [/sentimental crap] Won't talk more about this one since it's not part of the Taurus build thread, but yeah, that explains all my lurking and not much posting these days. May have to update my sig pic though.

If your car won't do 5 hours at 75mph there's something wrong with it. I took my car up to Jacksonville and Savannah a month ago (from Fort Myers, about 8 hours total one-way) and except for a RF wheel vibration around 75 mph it ran like new...so I drove 85 mph. No vibration, no problem.

About five years ago my parents drove it about 45 minutes away from Northern Virginia to Southern Maryland. Head gasket blew. Ever since then they have deemed it unfit for long distance travel. Honestly, I think all this car needs is a complete overhaul of the suspension and a trans refresh (new oil/filter) to become long distance worthy.

Have you checked the wheel bearings?

Nope, but I will add that to the list of things to tell the mechanic to check next time it goes into the shop. In fact, I'm open to all/any suggestions.
