No, not that kind of shaker hood.
But it would sure be a sight to see.
The trouble here is the hood shakes up and down at highway speeds. Not always, but frequently.
Recently the dealer body shop repaired a small dent in the LF fender, and a very small dent in the hood near that fender.
I actually had to take it back due to the very ****ty paint job they did.
Right afterwards is when the hood shaking began. Beginning around 75, you can see and hear the trailing edge of the hood bobbing up and down. Looks close to a half inch of travel.
I took it in and they are stumped. The hood lines up great with both fenders. No obvious misalignments.
You really cannot even get the hood to shake by hand. It seems fine.
The hood is bolted on good to the hinges.
The space between the waterfall grille and the hood lip seems normal in comparison to similar a Sable, but maybe just a bit higher.
If one lowered the hood now, it would dip below the fenders.
What else should be checked?
I'm stumped, need advice.
Thanks,
