Hello Everyone,

The purpose of this thread is to clearly define the process of registering for ROTB. Since there are multiple components, we wanted to make sure this is clearly laid out.

Dates/Times/Locations of Events -

Track Day -
Gingerman Raceway
South Haven, MI
Friday, July 11th 8am-5pm

Car Show, Show 'n Shine & BBQ Lunch
Park in the Dearborn, MI area TBA
Saturday, July 12th, approx. 12noon-5pm

Awards Banquet/Dinner
Host hotel TBA in the Dearborn, MI area
Saturday, July 12th, approx 7-10pm

Henry Ford Museum Tour w/ "surprise event"
The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI
Sunday, July 13th, approx 10am-5pm
We will probably eat lunch at the museum as well (paid on your own).

First step -

Submit the $25 registration fee via paypal to jason8225@yahoo.com. Be sure to include your full mailing address and contact information as we will mail a registration packet to you once we receive this fee. PLEASE DO THIS ASAP SO WE CAN GAUGE PARTICIPATION.

THE REGISTRATION FEE IS NOT NEEDED PER PERSON ATTENDING, IT IS ONLY FOR EACH FAMILY THAT WILL BE SUBMITTING THEIR INFORMATION ON THE SAME REGISTRATION FORM.

Basically, this fee is per car that will be participating. If you need clarification on this, please let me know.

Second step -

The track deposit of $50 is due by Friday, April 11th.
The host hotel for the track event in South Haven is the Holiday Inn Express in South Haven. You will need to make your own reservations for this.
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/SOHMI

Third step -

The remaining $100 of the track fees are due Friday, May 16th.
If you want to pay any/all of the track fees and registration all up-front that is perfectly acceptable.

Final step -

Return your registration form and payment for all other events.

To give you a preview of all the other events and ESTIMATED costs, see the below list. These numbers are approximate until we finish ironing everything out, but will give you an idea of what to expect.

Car Show - $10 per car
BBQ Lunch on Saturday (in conjunction with the car show, etc. in Dearborn area) - $5/person
Banquet and Awards dinner at the host hotel TBA in Dearborn area - $25/person
This will be fully catered and a nice sit-down dinner, formal attire NOT required.
Henry Ford Museum Tickets on Sunday - probably around $10/person - we are working on a group rate for this

What exactly does the $25 ROTB registration fee pay for? Or is it just to help support the club?

Also, what is the Award and Banquet Dinner? I mean, I get the eating food part, but what awards?

The payments do need to be made prior to ROTB.

The track deadlines are outlined above, but we have not yet set a deadline for the other payments. They will likely be due by the end of June. That will be updated as soon as decisions are made. If something came up where you decided to bring somebody with you at the last minute, paying "at the door" is fine for that, but if you know you are coming then we really need to have the registration fees up front.

Thanks!

The $25 registration fee is to allow us to front the money for all the various events.

We have to make deposits to the track, for the facilities we are using for the banquet, for the pavilion and such at the park for the car show, etc. This will also help to fund prizes for the car show and such, too. There are quite a number of things we have to put money down for in advance, so this provides the funds to do that.

We didn't make it clear what the Awards part was about. We will present the awards for the car show at the banquet.

If I go to the car show, and not the banquet, can I still win stuff? I doubt I will be able to talk my parents into paying the $100 for 4 of us to go.

Jason forgot to mention that for the track event each driver tracking thier car is allowed on spectator free. any other spectator is $10 to cover Gingerman's fee and the lunch that is provided.

and Sean, Jason and i will work on tallying up the votes right at the car show, so if we get notification a person is leaving after we will award them thier prize then.

FantomBlu... the $25 registration fee is per household, so no, he wont have to pay another $25, but if you decide not to track the car it is $10 per person to attend Gman track day.

We are working on the registration form to outline the prices for each event better and figure out an individual total for each family that is attending.
but at least this way if you havent started saving, you have an idea of what you need to work twords.

Also, our host hotel for the Dearborn side of the ROTB is the Best Western Greenfield Inn. rooms are $84 before tax on our group rate, $110 regular rate. so i did work our a decent discount. thier website is www.bestwesterngreenfield.com the amenities are wonderful and it has a great charm to it along with an automotive print gallery throughout the building.

Is that the only hotel, or is there one in South Haven too? Also when we go to reserve the room, how do we indicate to get the special rate, or will that come in the packet after we register?

thanks!
