New Taurus Owner In MI
Hey hows it all going? I'm Matt. Just recently purchased my first 99 Taurus Wagon SE, about a month ago, and this forum has been a great resource for me.
Bought her with 128k on the odometer, thought to be in mint mechanical condition. Turns out the previous owner stuffed it up with stop leak and the "fix" lasted a mere six hours after I bought it, as it started gushing coolant out of the overflow. Thanks to your guys many detailed postings on here, I figured out that there was a crack in my head gasket allowing exhaust gases to be mixed in with my coolant. Long story short, just dropped another Vulcan in her with 55,000 miles and she runs like a champ. One of the most comfortable cars I've ever owned. I'm sure I'll be posting on here a lot, clearly as this car is turning out to be a bigger project then I expected  Thanks! Matt |

Thanks guys! I plan to remove a couple dents, fix some small bugs, and get this car back to the showroom beauty she was! The interior is probably one of the cleanest I've ever seen on a 14 year old car , more pictures will be posted.

Looking forward to your progress. What style wheel covers did you put on it? We had those on our 1999 SE that looked identical to yours except in sedan form!

I just for right now put on some "tasteful" aftermarket wheel covers until I have the time to grab another OEM. When springtime comes along, I'm going to do a little body work along with alloys probably from a 2000's SEL.
