As much as I love my 2012 F-150 that I bought new back in March (see sig), I drive a lot and the fuel consumption is really eating a lot of my spare cash. So, for the driving when the truck's utility isn't required, I went looking for a cheap daily driver and found myself a '93 GL 3.0L. Gotta keep it Ford
as my sig clearly indicates.I bought the car from a 94-year-old lady who gave up her drivers' license two weeks ago It has 128,000 kilometres or 79K miles on it. Always a local car, and oiled since new so there is barely any rust anywhere. Cold A/C, working power windows/locks/seat and cruise. Has the Premium Sound system which turns on and has full HU functionality but no sound (I suspect a loose connection to the amp in the trunk or a bad protection relay, as it comes on intermittently over bumps). I'll get to that in another thread. The car was well-maintained mechanically. I have every service invoice right back to day 1, as well as the window sticker and bill of sale ![]() It does need a steering rack, which I removed last night and will order one today. Thanks to the 95% rust-free nature of the car, there were no hangups unbolting the tie rod ends, exhaust or the rear subframe bolts. It's appearance is suffering a bit as the clear is peeling on the trunk and header panel. I might scuff up the trunk and hit it with some spray-bomb colour and clear. It is what it is, especially for what I paid ![]() I only have the ad listing photos for now. I'll take some more once I finish the steering rack replacement and clean it up a bit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Cant stop a Vulcan! Guaranteed to run after you car is a pile of rust! [In your case, that'll be never]
Love getting cars from older folks. They're the only ones who treat them with the respect they deserve. |

Nice low milage Gen2 you have there. My old 92 3.0 was a beast. I had it sitting, unstarted with 8 year old gas in it. I put in a battery and it fired right up and ran nice. The trans was shot and the body started rusting away at that point though.
BTW.........Welcome.
