I respectfully disagree. However, I think it's best for mods to not derail a thread by discussing politics in it. This thread wasn't initially about politics and it should stay that way. I will not moderate the posts other mods have made, if they decide that it would be best to remove their post(s) from this thread, then I will too.

On topic:

I actually really like the new GM interiors, they are pretty nice looking. The Ecotec engine is a really awesome piece of engineering, in my opinion.

That's pretty much what I do when I change the oil filter on my Windstar, it's a few inches from the catalytic converter. It's very hard to not touch it.

Yeah I got to experience one of those today, well... a Freestar actually. Filter in the same place though. Yuck.

I'll never understand how Ford and GM failed so badly at minivans. DODGE, of all companies, was the only American one to make a decent minivan (I'm excluding the Aerostar and Astro here). Nevermind the oil filter locations, the Freestars and Windstars don't seem to hold up well at all. The less said about the GM vans, the better.

I was helping a guy parked in front of my house deal with his blown coolant hose on a 1997ish Caravan not so long ago. All I can say is, that engine bay is freakin' tight! I wouldn't ever want to work on that van, the Windstar has tons of room compared to that thing. I would have a Chrysler van over the older GM offerings though, GM should have been charged with crimes against humanity for releasing that Venture POS.

To be fair, the interiors of newer Fords are very similar as well. As are Chryslers, Hyundais, etc...

I couldn't help but laugh a little at the strong opinions posted by Taurus drivers on this forum. I like my Taurus just fine, but the styling (inside and out) can best be described as "blah".
