so end of this week once i get all the parts my svt will be ungoing a 3L motor swap, the motor is from a 02 taurus and it has 20k on it, im sending it to a guy in west mass, thats done tons of swaps before and he can do it in two days.

i also have MSDS shorty headers (removes the 2 precats)
SPEC stage 3+ clutch (not positive, might have to go with the svt clutch because of price)
Lightweight Fidanza Flywheel.

other mods:
Red SVT overlay for the rear blue for decal on the chrome spear.
headlight eyelids
magnaflow resonator.
Trubendz Catless SS Test Pipe

so lets ballpark about 2 weeks from now my CSVT will be a BEAST! with all this stuff im looking at a 60-80whp increase, and over 205hp at the wheels.

ill get it dyno'd once im at UTI later this year... so once i get all the stuff in i will take some pics and keep you guys updated.

who is doing the swap?

Don't use a Spec clutch. Get a Sachs. Half the price, twice the quality!

I don't know the total, but I don't think it cost Brad a ton of money.

Just from what I remember from Brads swap:

-Modified subframe
-custom halfshafts
-some computer tinkering

I'm not sure how custom the pedal assemblies were, or what he did for the clutch stuff.

Bob, listen to Luke about the clutch (unless it's already too late). He's not exactly a n00b when it comes to contours, or 3.0 swaps.

Mmmm....

A 3.0L in a Contour.

Of course... The good Duratec had to come from the better Ford

Hehe, just kidding

(Although I do like the Taurus over the Contour)

I will always have a soft spot for Contours, my first car was a Contour. Although it had the Zetec. The Zetec was much better than the 1.9L Escort Engines

Also - need MORE PICTURES!
