Posted by SilverKnight - 02-6-08 12:39 - 4 comments
The TCCA Staff is proud to announce the

Official Running of The Bulls 2008 Itinerary
:

Date: July 11-13th (Friday through Sunday), 2008

Many out-of-towners are advised to meet at the host hotel in South Haven, MI and spend the night.

Friday the 11th will be the Gingerman Track Day located in South Haven, MI from 8am-5pm. Lunch will be provided by the club. Afterwords, everyone may split up and do dinner as they choose. The night will be spent in South Haven, MI again at the hotel.

Saturday the 12th after breakfast will be a group caravan down I-94 to Dearborn, MI to another host hotel and then a nearby car wash to detail cars. Everyone will meet at a local park for the car show and BBQ. Later in the evening will be a group dinner (tbd) and then back to the hotel or a cruise to check out local nightlife in MI.

Sunday the 13th will be the Henry Ford Museum tour with lunch at the Weinermobile Cafe, and special viewing of the '86 Motor Trend Taurus. After that, we will visit the Ford Rouge Factory Tour.

Later on, members are free to depart to their homes or stay another night in the hotel.

Sharing rooms will help keep the cost of the trip lower!

keep looking into the thread HERE for more information and pricing on the event.

> A Longtime Member And Friend Of The Tcca Has Passed Away
Posted by Racer X - 07-12-07 22:03 - 23 comments
It is with a heavy heart, and much grief that I inform the club that longtime club member and Taurus and SHO enthusiast Jeremy Thomas (jthomas68 on the forums) passed away last night in his sleep last night.

I had the opportunity to meet Jeremy at one of the very first NE Chapter meets when he still had his white Gen 1 SHO, and was actually a pretty cool person to hang out with. Jeremy leaves behind his wife Leanne, and his 13 day old infant.

On behalf of the TCCA, I'd like to offer my condolences to the surviving family in this time of sorrow.

Beth and Kirk are going to be organizing a fund raiser for his baby. When she has more info, she'll either explain the details or I'll pass on the information once it becomes available.

The original thread at SHOForum is at http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=78802

*edit*
- Added original thread link.
- Corrected Jeremy's baby's age.

> Ebay Link Policy
Posted by RocketFoot - 04-18-07 08:29 - 0 comments
Updated Rules!

There has been a lot of discussion over live Ebay links lately, so we decided to post the official TCCA stand on this matter.

Links to items for sale on outside websites such as eBay or other auction links may only be posted in good faith with regard to the club selling policies. The TCCA staff reserves the right to determine whether posts of this nature are appropriate.

Consider these points when deciding to post a link...

1. Posted Ebay links have angered TCCA members in the past by drawing unwanted attention to auctions that they were already bidding on. However, Ebay is a public site and a great resource for finding items.

2. Posted Ebay links could be a attempt at circumventing the For Sale fee's we have here and thus being unfair to members who pay the proper fees to post For Sale ads. These types of posts will be removed by the Staff.

3. If you are the Ebay auction's seller and you are a TCCA Supporting Member or you have paid the classified fee, you are permitted to list your Ebay link in your post. Attempts to circumvent the Club's selling policy will result in link removal and possible loss of forum use for a short period or repeated offenses might result in a permanent ban!

Posting a link in good faith means using a link to help another member find something they are looking for or other similar circumstances...

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to discuss with any member of the staff! tcca_small.jpg

> Event Attendance Awards...
Posted by RocketFoot - 01-13-07 09:16 - 73 comments
Ok guys, I have an Event Attendance Award set up. Just make a post in this thread with a brief list of all the Official TCCA Events you have attended. A member of the Staff will enter the info into your profile and you will receive a little Green TCCA Taurus image IPB Image below your avatar. When someone spots the award, they can click on your profile and see the list of events.

You can list the events like this: Pittsburgh 2007, ROTB 2005, etc...Please keep the events in a straight line list seperated by commas just like the example so we can cut and paste easier...or you can just list the number of events (ie...'16 events') if you like. This isn't life or death, but please be honest! tongue.gif This award is for people who truly attend club meets!

Platinum Supporters also get the ability to edit their post titles and descriptions!

With your verified donation, you will also get one of these cool icons displayed under your avatar so your forum peers will recognize your support!

To access the donation system, click "My Controls" and then click "Purchase Paid Subscriptions" under the 'Options' tab. From there, you can chose the package you prefer and follow the instructions to pay with PayPal. Your icon & benifits will appear after the donation is verified. (Do Not choose a package that is less than you have already donated...you will be reverted to the lower icon! Make special arrangements with a Staff Member or use the Misc Donation package for these cases.)

There are also packages available for Misc Donations, Classified Fees (for non-supporting members) and Vendor/Group Buy Fees.

Please avoid using Paypal E-Checks if possible...sometimes they fail to upgrade your group icons after they clear. If you need to use an E-Check, please contact an Admin after the transaction so we can make sure it goes through.

Please consider supporting this great club! No matter how much you can afford, your donations are greatly appreciated! Click here to visit the Donation Area Now!

Thanks Everyone

> There's Been An Accident Involving Arkansho's Son.
Posted by Racer X - 12-7-06 01:14 - 129 comments
This was originally posted on SHOForum HERE. For those who aren't SHOForum members and can't read that thread:

http://www.wibw.com/news/headlines/4826951.html

Carter's 25 year old son was involved in a serious accident Monday evening. He was hit head on by a drunk driver on Oakland Expressway, and had to be extracted from his vehicle with the jaws of life. He sustained serious injuries to both legs, and one arm, and required 14 hours of surgery. The worst injury of all, however, is to his head. As of Carter's latest posting, the surgeon's are warning that the result of the CAT scans indicate that there is the possibility of a significant loss of brain function from the head injuries sustained in the accident.

Carter, on behalf of myself, and the rest of the TCCA family, I would like to extend my condolences and prayers to your son, you, and all of your family during this difficult time, and can only hope that God may guide you all through this difficult and painful ordeal.

Sincerely,
Hamal Terry

There's been an update regarding the case against the driver who killed Justin:

http://cjonline.com/stories/011008/loc_234759776.shtml

Cliffs Notes: She plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the commission of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving the wrong direction on a one-way road.
